Another year, another valentine's day Where the hearts and candy are out on display But love was the last thing on my mind 'Cause whenever I looked for love, I got spurned everytime All I wanted to do was lay low and be chill 'Cause seeing all this lovey-dovey ish made me ill But then there was this one girl that walked by And almost instantly, I changed my mind I don't know what it was that made me attracted to her But I knew that I wanted to get to know her better But when you're shy like me, that ain't no easy feat But what do I got to lose? may as well bust a move So I walked up to her and intoduced myself And did my best to put my nerves on the shelf Things went smooth, and we became friends But of course, that's where the easy part ends. Time went by, and we became pretty cool But sometimes I couldn't help but act a fool Cause I was trying to sort out my feelings for her I was diggin' her, but I wasn't sure if I really loved her Love's a crazy game, it drives ya insane It was eating me, but I didn't wanna rush things Cause I thought confessing so soon would push her away Damn, if that happened, it'd be another sad day So I played it safe, and we stayed friends But my feelings were driving me crazy to no end This girl got me sprung, and I didn't know how to deal with it So for a while, I had to grin and bear it But I knew i had to let it out one way or another Or else she'd might fall for another brother But I don't know what to say, let alone do But I guess I could always start with... Now here I am, flowing on this Jack Swing I don't know what reaction this song will bring But I've been holding in my feelings in for much too long So now I gotta let em out the way I know how in song Check 1,2, girl I'm so into you You got me so confused, I dunno what to do Now I'm here spittin super corny lines Up here shouting to the world "baby be mine" Now you might say yes and you might say no But Either way, I had to let my feelings out in this flow I wanna treat you the way you wanna be And like Ralph T., I'll check for sensetivity I really mean what I say, I wanna give you the best All you have to do is say yes Gimme a chance, I just wanna be your beau cause as you clearly see, I'm so into you.

(Intro) Enze: Ay yo Seth, see that fine ass chick over there. You know what, Imma go holla. Vadell: No man, you got it twisted, Imma go holla. Enze: Say breh, what chu talking bout. I saw her first. Lemme do my thang. Um, excuse me miss, can I talk to you for a second? (Enze) So on a scale of 1 to 2, What's the chances that I'll get with you? I'm just playing girl, I like to act a fool My name's the Yangsta, how do you do? I just wanna tell you how pretty you look And your sense of style is off the hook This took a lot of courage for me to say But I can't let my homeboy sweep you away! Forget my friend, he's a boring dude But the Yangsta wrote a poem just for you Roses are red, violets are blue Can I get your name, and your number too? Go to KFC, get a number two Cause compared to me, he's a number two I can't really say it's love at first sight But I would really like it if we kicked it tonight! (Bridge 1) Enze: So, what do you say, come hang out with the Yangsta. Last name ever, first name greatest. And yes, for the record, I am hitting on you. So what do you say? Vadel; lNo, No, No, No. That is not how you talk to a woman man! Yo step back Enze, watch this! (Vadell) madame, please forgive my homie Enze here I'm not boring, it's just that my creativity's always soaring I'm always writing stories and rhymes, ooh, they're so sublime So lemme kick a song to you, since you're so fine (Enze: Man, what're you talkin' 'bout?) (Vadell) Roses are red lilacs are purple Don't let that clown trick you into thinking that I'm like Steve Urkle I don't fumble, never blubber, I'm just a homegrown Nova Scotian lover So give me your number, and I can show you sights that you've never seen before Or if you're not into that, we can just hit the dancefloor We can dine on the shores of Peggy's cove or just chilax on the couch watching a movie at home It's up to you, the sky's the limit, beau and like the King of Pop, I believe that's really true. Our future can stretch as far as the eye can see If you give me a chance, So girl, come kick it with me (Bridge 2) Vadell: So girl, whassup? Forget that geeky Enze Yangsta, Asian rapper guy. Come hang out with me, what do you say? Come hang out with the Swing Mob leader, Vadell Gabriel. *kiss sound* Enze: What chu doing man??? You’re scaring her. Look here baby, listen. (Enze) Now I know this sudden, and your heart skipped a beat But It'll be all good once you get to know me I've done this before, come on, let's be honest But I'm a real nice guy, girl I promise I want nothing else but to get to know you better And maybe when you get cold, I'll lend you my sweater I'm Enze Yangsta, it's so nice to meet ya So what chu say girl? Come kick it with me! (Vadell) I know you're skeptical, but you won't regret hangin' with me Let me tell you why: Unlike that little shrimp hangin' over there I guarantee, I'll blow your mind Maybe I can't sing it like Michael J. But I got enough love to treat you right There ain't no fakin' here, it's all scincerity So give me a chance girl, and come kick it with me (Outro) Vadell: Ay baby come kick it with Vadell Gabriel. Enze: No, no, no, come kick it with Enze Yangsta. Vadell? Enze man what chu talking about, you ain't got no time for no girl man! Enze: What chu mean man? Vadell: You got 2 jobs, you ain't got time for all that stuff! Enze: Oh no, no, no, no, no, I think I can make time for this one. By the way man, where's YOUR job? Vadell: Why you gotta bring that up?! Man, that's a low blow! Enze: You’re a low blow, bro! What chu talkin' 'bout man? Vadell: What the...? Where'd she go to?! Enze: Aww man, I think she left when when we was too busy arguing! Both: Nooooo!

One for the trebble, two for the bass I think it's about time I set the record straight It's really not the fact I hate modern rap But it simply just don't appeal to me like that I can't explain why, but the old school got that vibe That makes me nod my head, and spit out these rhymes It relaxes my soul, lets my instincts flow throwing lyrical fireballs like Super Mario Yeah, I'm called corny and goody two-shoes, Cause I don't smoke, act crude, or drink booze Don't talk about hoes, getting money or killing Cause frankly, it's not the life I'm living Student by day, Rapper at night Mild-mannered, shy, and very polite Sittin down playing Super Mario Bros. 2 That's my life, Livin' Old School One for the trebble, two for the bass The old school is ready to rock the place From the Golden Age to the modern times So let me bust out some old school rhymes Naw, I don't wear kangols or a high-top fade, Adidas jumpsuits, or big gold chains I do own a few Nintendos... I used to have a Dreamcast, but that bit the dust though But I'm not dissin' the new school, there's a lot I love, But the Old School wins, when push comes to shove I love the New Jack sound, I'm it's biggest fan When that groove comes on, it makes me wanna jam Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, TurboGrafx-16, and Arcade Cabniets Retro games all day, I like to play Sonic the Hedgehog and Pac-man, hey Galaga, Rally-X, and Dig-Dug Tekken and Street Fighter get nuttin but love Some call me a hipster, even a fool But hey, that's my life, Livin' Old School One for the trebble, two for the bass The old school is ready to rock the place From the Golden Age to the modern times So let me bust out some old school rhymes Riley, Jam, Lewis, Quik, Dilla Premier, LA, yo these guys are killer A streetwise sound, but with a soulful groove Or a mix of rap, rhythm and blues The jazzy sounds of a Tribe we request, Or a Clan that ain't nuttin' to mess with That's just a sampling of the Old School I like The masters at work, doing it right Don't get me wrong, we got some dope guys out too Drake, Lupe, Kendrick, just to name a few I dig their music, they got it on point But it's the old school that gets me high like a joint Like what you want, I'm not gonna force you to conform to my personal point of veiw But I had to go and set the record straight for you Cause I'm far from corny, I'm just Livin' Old School One for the trebble, two for the bass The old school is ready to rock the place From the Golden Age to the modern times So let me bust out some old school rhymes

about

With smooth throwback tracks, and a casual flow that that's been compared to artists from the New Jack Swing and G-Funk eras, one of the nicknames I've been given from some of my peers is "Old School". So I decided, why not name my next album that?

Orignally under the working title "Centerline Sessions", This album contains several tracks I've recorded between the summer of 2013 and early-to-mid 2014. most beats are licensed form their original creators, while others were produced by the likes of Enze Yangsta and Jordan Metro.

This album was also created for a special cause as well: Me and four other poets are a part of a poetry slam team from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada that was selected to take part in YouthCanSlam, a national poetry slam competition in Ottawa, Ontario. However we are trying to get funding to take us there, and that's where this album comes in.

50% of the royalties made from this album will go towards our fundraising process to get to Ottawa for the competition this August. We really want to show our skills on the national stage, so buying this album will go a long way towards helping us get there. Plus, you'll get some pretty dope music in return. ;)

Cheers, and thanks for taking the time out to support us!
