We've all thought about what we could do if we could go back in time, and change our life path, but not the consequences of doing so, even with the best intentions. This track was partly inspired by Mortal Kombat 9, and how Raiden tried to change his fate, and the fate of his allies, only to make critical mistakes that cost him dearly.

If you could change your past, would you change your path?
Eliminate the strife, and become a polymath?
Be beloved by all, travel on the jet set
Collecting nine-figure royalty cheques from your art
Would you tell yourself to make a living or a killing?
Would you become a villain just to get what you want?
Do you tell yourself to be humble, or to flaunt it all?
Should they cut down another brother just to stand tall?
It’s tempting, aint it? We’d all love to fix our mistakes
Change fate, see what could’ve been
Finally get a win instead of always losing
But when you’re choosing a new path, your steps must be righteous
Or you might just end up even worse than before
Dirt poor, ‘cause you got greedy
Believe me, hedonism ain’t the way
Cuz in the end, you still gotta pay to play
And you’ll see many lonesome days
By all means, shoot for the moon, and grab a star
Tell your past self the right way, so he can go far
And avoid the scars caused by your mistakes
So you don’t go and meet a terrible fate
But changing the past is tricky, no matter what you try
Don’t believe me? Try seeing the past through Raiden’s eyes
