From my upcoming album"The Maestro", "Rule Five" is, to put it bluntly, a song about an ex-girlfriend I dated back in 2015. I won't go into details here, but outside of the release of "Timbits", she was so toxic, she made me not want to make any music for a long time.
Eventually, I decided the only way to get her out of my head was to vent through a song. I took inspiration from a line in The Yangsta's song "Rules to the Game", and even used it for the hook of the song. This was a pretty emotional song to do, and I hope I never have to do one like it again.
To anyone of any gender who's gone through toxic relationships: This one's for you.
